We bought a Buzz light-year a few years ago when we last visited NY. Between then and now his ankle broke. To fix him, I drilled a hole in his ankle then disassembled the ankle and the foot. Then I took measurements of the broken ankle piece. I used Tinkercad to design a replacement peice. Then 3D-printed the piece on my 3D printer. After printing out the part, I test fitted it. I then edited the part and reprinted it. The part was a good replacement, but Buzz was difficult to reassemble. I had to break the upper leg apart in-order to reassemble the ankle. I then hot glued the leg back together. Buzz is back to his normal self.
